Database

We distinguish between the Database and the Repository:

Repository = the software architecture

Database = the content

Our database contains tick-by-tick data collected since 1986. The Olsen Server, deployed at a customer site, can be initialized with a Repository containing an appropriate subset of the database to support mission-critical applications that require access to historical data. The subset can be constructed with respect to time as well as to instrument type.

The following figures reflect the scope of the database
